The hotel is being rebuilt!
● In the long run, this means that we'll have more space - BUT, this year it means that the queue area outside Torucon is closed. This means that the queue will be a little narrower this year and that it will not be possible to stay in the space outside. Luckily, there are plenty of great places to hang out and take photos on the other side of the street (Toldboden), or over towards Rockheim and Simens Isbar. There's a park, seating and fjord views. There is little traffic right outside the hotel, but there is still a road, so remember not to stand in the middle of the road! Stay on the sidewalk.
Tickets and Entrance
We use the hotel's congress entrance, i.e. the door closest to the fjord, labeled "Clarion Hotell og Congress Trondheim". Just inside you will find the ticket and weapons check. NB! The hotel is expanding, so the entrance will be a little narrower this year, and it may look a little fenced off. The queue goes to the left along the wall, towards Rockheim.
Priority entry: People with disabilities who make it a strain to stand in line can use the entrance from the reception ("bottleneck") by the elevator. If you have a special need for facilitation, please send us an e-mail to make an appointment.
Tickets are sold at the door; there may be a queue, so arrive early. We accept both cards and cash (please note that there is a fee of 50;- per ticket at the door)
Online sales of weekend passes and Saturday passes will close on Friday, August 9. These will only be available at the door from now on.
Tickets can be downloaded as a pdf to your phone/tablet, or they can be printed and shown at the door. Remember to bring valid ID!
Companion certificate
Companion certificate: We accept companion passes at Torucon! The user then pays full price, and the companion enters for free when the companion certificate and the holder's ticket are shown at the door.
Merch:
T-shirts and tote bags are sold just inside the door.
T-shirts: 250kr
Tote bags: 100kr
**Are you missing merch in your collection? **
T-shirts from previous years: 100;-kr
Tote bags from previous years: 50;-kr
Access and Parking
Parking:
The hotel has underground parking 320;- per day*, Charging price, Electric car: 3,0 per kwt). There is paid outdoor parking in the immediate area. Free in the city center after 16:00. *Please note that you will be charged every time you drive in/out of the parking garage.

On the premises
We have a manned cloakroom available where you can leave your bags, outerwear, etc. The cloakroom is free of charge and is located in Cosmos (the main hall), by the stage.
The arcade can be found in the Living Room, by the hotel's restaurant, in the Meteor and Andromeda rooms.
COOLING LOUNGE: Right next to the Infodesk you will find Polaris. This room is set aside for everyone with fursuits and large/heavy costumes to go in and cool off during the weekend.
There are quiet rooms in Eclipse and Meteor when the rooms are not being used for judging/tournaments. Here you can retreat if there is too much sound and impressions.
Not all stands have access to card terminals/vippers. Remember to bring cash!
● Crew is here to help you! Can't find your way around? Ask at the info desk or find a volunteer!

Food and drink
It gets hot quickly! Remember to drink plenty of water! Water stations are clearly marked around the premises. Let a medic know if you feel unwell! Use the Cooling Lounge or quiet room if necessary
Don't forget to eat too! There are convenience stores in the area, and the hotel serves food for our guests in its restaurant both days from 12:00. They serve from their regular menu.
Behavior
Con is not consent: Behave nice and nicely towards each other! Ask before you take photos of others and if you can upload them online. Respect other people's boundaries and don't be nasty or pushy. In the worst case, annoying and rude behavior can lead to exclusion from the event.
Be considerate of others. It can get crowded quickly, so be careful with props and large costumes. Pay attention to wheelchairs, prams etc.
● Free Hugs? Stand still and wait for people to hug you!
If you feel that someone is being nasty, harassing, or in any way makes you feel uncomfortable; Tell someone in the crew, or get hold of a guard. We will take care of the situation.
Smoking and intoxicants are strictly prohibited on Torucon's premises. If we suspect that you are intoxicated / under the influence, it may lead to exclusion from the event. If you see someone who seems intoxicated, or breaks the rules in any other way, let the crew/guards know!
In the worst case, violation of our guidelines may lead to expulsion from the event.
Read our Code of Conduct: https://www.torucon.no/ordensregler
● Do you see someone who is a little down, or walking alone? It's not dangerous to get in touch! You might make a new friend! Let a crew member/medic know if you see someone who needs help or is feeling unwell.
Weapons/Props
Softguns/airsofts are not allowed at Torucon.
Weapons and rules of conduct: https://www.torucon.no/ordensregler
Are you unsure if your weapon/prop is approved? Visit the guards at the weapons check and show your weapon!
Do you have a weapon that does not comply with the regulations, but which you need for the competition? The guards can take care of these and they will be handed over to you at the competition. After Torucon, you can pick them up again at the weapons check.
Important! We have received a request from the police to remind you of the following:
Point one: All costume props that resemble real weapons (especially firearms) must be completely hidden when people are not inside Torucon.
Point two: Masks that conceal the face (or half conceal the face) are prohibited outside Torucon. The police will at all times be able to identify people if necessary, and therefore, according to Trondheim's city bylaws, it is illegal to cover your face in public spaces.
The police are aware that Torucon takes place during the weekend, but we still encourage you to consider these two points when traveling outside the con area, and pay attention to the public. Torucon is not responsible for any situations that may arise outside our area.
