We're taking a short break from standing at our Cosplay Repair booth to talk about what we call “Sustainable Cosplay.” But what is it? Thoughts like these come flooding back:

How are you going to put on the costume? Is it durable? Can it be washed? Can you reuse materials? Start planning and production well in advance? Do you have parts from another costume that can be used? Comfort over 100% accuracy?

We have been dressing up since we were kids and started making our own costumes in 2015.

With education, work and 10 years of experience in recycling and sustainable fashion and sewing, we have many experiences we want to share. In our YhaSyme sewing studio and store, we repair, adapt and redesign clothes and hold sewing workshops and sewing courses.
