Nerd chat kicks off the semester by talking about this year's summer flirtations. What have we actually been up to this summer? In addition, we have had a visit from Caroline from Torucon, whom we have interviewed. Nerdeprat is going to Torucon, and we're really looking forward to it!

Torucon is an annual festival for the glorification of all geek culture, from sci-fi and fantasy to LARP and cosplay, board games, gaming and Asian pop culture. The festival is held at Clarion Hotel Trondheim, and is organized on a voluntary basis.

The story: Torucon 2019 is currently underway - a cultural festival for people with fantastic leisure pursuits.

This weekend, Torucon will be held for the eighth year in a row. The event at Brattørkaia is Norway's largest cosplay festival. Trine Ericzon from Trondheim will dress up as Wonder Woman.

In an attempt to learn more about these interesting costumes, NRK Trøndelag's reporters go out to interview cosplayers who are putting the finishing touches on their costumes before Torucon.

This year's Torucon started on Saturday morning. Clarion Hotel at Brattøra was filled with cosplayers.

This coming weekend is Torucon in Trondheim, one of Norway's largest gatherings for cosplayers. At home, Trine Ericzon (28) and Martine Stuedahl (25) are busy making costumes for this year's gathering.

- The event in Trondheim is the best in Norway, they believe.

This summer, I was given a title in passing when someone I know was introducing me to someone else. I was "the most normal of us". In other contexts, I might have reacted to this introduction, but in this case, I have to bow down.
