About Saharasara Cosplay
I've been cosplaying since 2014, where Torucon was my introduction to cosplay!
I like to think of myself as a figure-out-it-out enthusiast, teaching myself what it takes to make the cosplay, whether it's making chainmail, corsets, worbla swords, or hair made of rope. I'm self-taught via the internet, and I strongly believe that anyone can learn to make cosplay as long as they're willing to try and fail and try again.
I love cosplay competitions; watching them, participating, and judging them. It's incredibly inspiring to see what people are able to do, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and all the love they show for fandom and nerdism through their performances.
In 2015 I started participating in cosplay competitions, and have since been to most con-scenes in Norway, both as a participant and judge. I have had the honor of representing Norway in international competitions such as NCC in Sweden, GICOF in South Korea, and most recently this December; E2C in France, where I won the Best Costume award.
