  • The tournament will be played using Swiss Rounds, which means that the number of rounds is determined by the number of participants. You will be awarded points depending on how the round ends for you, and then you will be matched up against an opponent who has done as well as you. You will not have to play the same opponent twice, and unless there is an odd number of participants, everyone will play in each round. The winner will be determined by who plays the best consistently, there is no elimination during the tournament.

  • There will be two minutes prior to each round for preparation, which includes shuffling decks and any mulligans. The round will not begin until these two minutes have passed, after which each round has a time limit of 30 minutes.

  • A deck must consist of 60 cards, of which you can only have 4 of any card that is not a basic Energy card. It is not allowed to make changes to the deck after the tournament has started.

  • It is not permitted to use a proxy, a card created by the player to have the same function as a corresponding real card. Such cards are considered fake cards and will be required to be removed from the deck prior to the tournament.

  • You can use a card that is either French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish, but it is recommended that you bring a printout of the English card to avoid potential confusion for both you and your opponent.

  • It should not be possible to identify a card in the deck in the form of marked cards, cards that are written on (including autographs), or different sleeves. Bring extra sleeves in case you come out to damage one or more during a round, as the sleeve is counted as part of the card and damage will make the card considered identifiable.

  • A proxy may be created for a card that is damaged during the tournament to avoid the card being considered marked, but only by us, and only if you do not have a replacement for this card.

Prizes

The prizes for the tournament will consist of cards from one of the newest sets, with booster packs distributed to the top 3, with something extra for first place!
